Local Food Pantries

No one should go without love. No one should go without food.

Food and personal supplies

Access to nutritious food is a fundamental human need. Not having enough to eat makes it difficult to focus on anything besides your stomach. It can distract you from important things in your life including socializing, academics, and work.

Some may not be aware of local resources that are available in Rexburg and Southeast Idaho. Through local collaboration and generosity, you have access to food and basic items to meet your needs.

Access to food can improve mental health.

A person’s mental health can be affected by the conditions we live in. According to The Trevor Project 2021 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health, one-quarter of LGBTQ youth who reported attempting suicide also had trouble affording food.

Ensuring that LGBTQ people and their families (and everyone in need) have access to food can do more than just solve hunger, but improve their mental state of being.

30% of LGBTQ youth experienced food insecurity in the last month.

27% of LGBTQ youth worried their family would run out of money for food before they could buy more.
