Joni
(she/they)
President
As a pansexual gender-queer millennial, I have been acutely aware of my non-cis, non-heteronormative identity since the 7th grade. I know how unsafe and hateful the world can be. I founded Flourish Point and Rexburg Pride with the goal of carving out a space for where we can be loved, celebrated, and appreciated for exactly who we are.
I am passionate about human rights and mental health. I have a bachelors in nursing and am working on my masters to become a PMHNP in 2027. I enjoy endurance sports and all things chocolate.
Welcome, I can’t wait to meet you and hear your story. I am glad you are here!

Suzy
(she/her)
Treasurer
As a resident of the Rexburg area for more than 20 years, I have seen the challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. I have developed close friendships with many people in the queer community and am dedicated to finding ways to build bridges and create a more welcoming place in Rexburg.
Outside of my work with Flourish, I love spending time with my family and I work as a software developer. In my free time I love participating in the community arts. -

Brynlee
(they/she)
Secretary
As a proud member of the queer community and a current social work student, I serve on the board as a voice for students and young people who don’t have the privilege to accept their identities so openly. Born and raised in Idaho, I understand the pressure to conform and the deep challenges of feeling isolated from the community around you. Some of the first times I’ve felt seen for who I am were at local pride events, where I knew I could exist without the fear of being judged, or the isolation that comes with hiding who you are. That sense of safety and belonging is what drives my passion to expand both the feeling and reality of community safety, building more inclusive communities where everyone can thrive and find belonging.
Outside of this role and academics, I enjoy crocheting, reading, and exploring the outdoors through hiking and running.
